finally a digital colored stuff after a long while... and finally something Hotel Dusk-related after a longer while... -melt-
well, I'm actually currently doing some challenges I found here and this is basically the first thing I finished. not doing all thirty challenges and not pushing myself to finish everything in a day, though. I simply don't wanna lose the fun while trying to improve my art, probably. heh.
as for this one, the challenge is to 'draw a figure using a reference', so I did. and here's the reference, by the way. just... sorry for everything. I mean, how to do proportion and how to color properly and just how to draw Kyle in general cause it looks so different, I... -faint-
heh. all and all, despite all the differences and how messy this is -the original game art is just so cool and beautiful and unique; CING please reunite and make another game; sob-, I learned a lot from this, especially in coloring. might need to be braver in choosing more distinct colors to create better shadow and such. I'm clueless about any shading theory, though. and again, the proportion is just all wrong. I know that it's fun that I still have so much to learn, but still it's just so tedious and I just hope I can do better at proportion someday. -sob-
well, in the end, at least I have fun, so I'm going to continue this set of challenge, for sure. also thanks for viewing this, guys. have a nice day! :D
