photography - composition.

some photos taken for my composition assignment. the task requires students to apply symmetrical, golden rule, rule of third, and negative space compositions into their photos. thank you everyone for accompanying me and asking me to hunt for photos together. special thank you to olin for helping me out several days before the deadline. even though I haven't understood even a bit about it, photography sure was fun. :)

first photography assignment!

actually not an exact assignment. more like a slideshow thingy consisting some photos we took around the campus area. some students will be randomly chosen to present their slideshow tomorrow, so... yeah.

and photography turns out to be really, really fun. must admit that more than eighty percent of the photo I took are paparazzi pictures, but at least I still do my assignment... somewhat. -slapped-

another calm and casual day.

the last trip I went to back in late June was pretty much calm and casual. it's nice that its lovely pace seems to linger and even blend with these late days I've been spending at home. too bad I didn't take my camera during the trip, so no visual sharing for some of the amazing places I went to, but planning to write about one of them... somewhat. hopefully I can finish it soon. heh.

anyway, spent a little time drawing using chalks with my sister today, which result I'll probably post after this. it sure has been a long time since I played with chalks. :') huff.

also finally tried to take some pictures with the camera I got from my uncle again. my brother has been telling me to practice from now if I don't wanna struggle like him during photography class -I don't know what to study about, though; I've helped him with his assignment before but I could only imagine some of the technical words he used with his friends; I have a feeling I'll struggle harder, but hopefully I can do my best; sob-, so I guess I kinda followed his advice a bit today.

just random shots like before, though. don't even have any understanding of any technique or any concept or anything, so sorry for posting them despite the randomness and the quality, guys. just feel like posting them... somewhat. -shrug-

also... this little kitten has been coming back a lot to my house ever since my mom gave him/her some food several days ago. he/she is so adorable and shy and I rarely hear him/her meows like... wanna hug him/her but he/she will probably run away, so... :'D

taken during my trip to Puncak back in January. was lucky enough to stay in a villa owned by my father's aunt's student. the air there was nice and I always loved the sound of the... what do you call the display in the first, third, and eighth pics? :'D

I think I still have some unfinished sketches I started while I'm there. might try to finish it one day... or maybe not. -slapped-

fourth friday.

it's been quite a busy month -even for me- and I guess I'd just like to note things down to reflect on them a bit now that I'm having quite a stable mood.

today was quite nice; very nice, actually, if compared to the others, if I may be honest. my brother had a bunch of photography assignment, so I spent several hours to help him, mostly at creating effects and stuff. and it's really fun cause somehow he got the idea to choose this little fellow up there as his main model. it may be a waste of water, but I have too much fun helping him create effects as if he were using 'aqua jet' and all that sort of stuff, in which our adorable model fell on most of the cool pics. -chuckle- it sure is like him to be so clumsy, hmm? ;)

on the other side, I might need to rearrange my bag cause there are just so many things piling up and mostly cause I need to try to find my notebook somewhere. I'm actually quite doubtful that it's gotten mixed up between my books cause I have a feeling it got accidentally taken by someone else but hopefully my doubt is for nothing. it'll be sad to lose that notebook that's already filled with several drawings. -shrug-

and... I'm planning to try to take things a bit slowly. it's quite nice that starting from now my school time is cut by around one and a half hour, which may seem small but sure means a lot. it'll give me more free time to review lesson at home, so if I'm lucky, I may just be able to continue following my friend's suggestion to change my learning time from early morning to early evening so that I won't get easily fatigued. it sure is a nice advice and I'm glad to ever be able to hear it. :)

...the new schedule makes me feel a bit lazy sometimes, though. -slapped- I mean, with school time being a little shorter, I may just feel the need to go home and relax more, so... erm, let's just hope I can control my mood and become more studious. -laugh dryly; shrug-

well... apart from all that, I guess everything's just been good today. hopefully it will stay like this. -shrug- I hope you guys are good, too. :)

ah, well, I'm starting to run out of topics to talk about... so, erm, thanks for reading, guys. sorry for the grammar and other oddity. hopefully I'll get around to proofread this later and maybe I'll add more things if I feel the need. heh. have a nice night! ;)

it's okay. everything is really nice this time around. and as long as I have the blue sky to stare at, I know I'll be fine for it reminds me of all the beautiful days I once had and have always looked forward to. everything has been happening under this same color-changing umbrella, so I know for sure that I'll find a way to hold on to hope and all that it showers.

but it's okay. yes. right now, it's okay. it does feel a bit restless, but that's all; and for reasons that won't haunt at all, assuring me that no matter how tiring it gets, all of it are actually more than fine.

well, not that I have plans to go somewhere -if you've read the second preceding post, you probably can already tell that most of my plans tend to be more indoor-, but, hey... it's holiday! :'D -scream again; crushed-

and... -sigh- yeah, tomorrow the school report card will be given -already prepared for worsening grades, haha; shrug-, while the place where I do part-time job at will probably have some sort of... erm... community service on Thursday! :) well, I don't think this can be called a community service since we're basically doing cleaning inside the building and not around the neighborhood -would be cool if we did, though- but I feel so excited cause it's actually my first time doing such thing. it's a shame my school never did this, but I'm glad I can finally experience the small version of it soon. it's been my dream for so long, so... :')

also I might need to rearrange my room -it's a bit of a mess- for pop's aunt is going to visit soon, but I'm too lazy for such things... -sigh- what to do? -facepalm at my own laziness-

and, erm, I guess that's all. haha. not lots are happening lately, but I sure enjoy this rare and pressure-less moment. :) I've been feeling really happy these past few days starting from that amazing yet heartbreaking -mostly cause it has to end- Sunday and I just hope you guys are sharing the same great days.

so... erm, my school report card result turns out to be somewhat better than I expected and I just... can't... t-thank you, I... -facepalm- I'm so happy yet tired yet too happy and I'm sorry if I make nonsense, but t-thank you so much, everyone. I feel so happy this morning. :')

[update - December 23, 2012]

and the -sort of- community service on Thursday was really fun! I hope I get to do more stuff like this in the future. :) there's also a Christmas celebration to follow the day after and it's fun as well. we get to play some crazy games and hear experiences -new workers need to share their experience, just why; dumped- and even exchange gifts. I got a green pepper-shaped food container with a really nice note inside. it's really cool. :) and the foods served in the celebration are just so expensive... garsh, this place is just too amazing. I think I'll keep getting surprised till end.

...and I'm a failure even after ten months yet everyone seems so nice. I'm getting slightly better at this stuff and learning has been fun so far, so no matter how hard this work may get, I guess I'm gonna enjoy it somehow. I'm glad I didn't give up back then. :')

heh. this end of the year turns out to be quite fine after all. and that's cause I'm surrounded by so many amazing people. thank you so much, guys. hope you have a great time wherever you are! ;)

lately, all I could think about is spending some time with you. with everything that's been going, with mornings that are filled with the usual things and secret frown on both heart and notes to sing, all I wish to do is to have one moment to just stare at you and adore you without even having to worry about the fact that the moment is going to pass.

it just seems grand to have a life to only create and create: to go the days filled with art, stories, and feelings to express; to be inspired and hopefully to inspire someday; and to be somewhere where I no longer need to wish for time to not let tomorrow shove the happiness I've already felt today.
