was suddenly reminded of this fanfic idea that hopefully can be touched again once holiday starts. and in case you're wondering, yes, it's been more than two weeks since I last had nirmana class and I really miss it, so... I guess that explains the background. heh. thanks for viewing, guys! ; u ; //

some protagonists.

[pic is finished on August 22, 2013; posted on August 23, 2013]
disclaimer: all characters belong to their respective owners. sorry for the short disclaimer, guys. I figure putting six detailed disclaimers would be way too wordy, so... -bows-

in horizontal order: alcoholic temperamental, clueless hard-worker, a big sweetheart, idiotic hero, slow joy-bringer, prince of smile. -slapped continuously- none of these names are meant in a bad way, by the way -these are actually all of the protagonists whom I admire! :'D-. I just love them so much and somehow it's more fun to write those things instead of simply putting up their original names. heh.

all and all, thanks for viewing this, guys. it was really fun working on this, so I hope that you can enjoy your visit here, too. have a nice day! ;D

whirlwind comic idk.

setting this to hidden because of very, very disturbing content... well, in several ways. I honestly regret making this. -facepalm- felt like I was wasting my time, sorry. I just don't know why but I'm terribly unhappy about the result, but posting it anyway in case someone might find it not disturbing. huff. maybe humor is just not my thing. -shrugs-

anyway, proceed at your own risk. thank you for visiting, guys. :'3 and counting this as the eleventh challenge done for the art improvement challenge, which is to make a oneshot comic. huff.

Jack and Nami's son. name was taken from some walkthrough videos I've seen in youtube. the more I watch the videos, the more it fits, somehow. :')

anyway, decided to paint him cause I just love his character. huff. he does resemble both his father and his mother a lot. then again, I guess all the kids in aWL do, but I somehow still like him the best. -shrug- and... procrastinated for several days during the process, but glad I could finally finish this today.

well, all and all, thanks for viewing and appreciating, guys. thanks for taking your time to visit. hope you're having a nice day and hope to see you again in the next post! :)

thought I'd end this month's posts by something sweet. been drawing too much Nami for this tag, so I guess this piece could offer something fresh... somewhat. :)

thanks for another visit, guys. hope this month has been a nice one for you and that next month will be as nice or even nicer. you guys are amazing. hope you're all doing fine and are happy, okay? ;D -comfort you guys with some songs that Gustafa sings and some homemade meals from Ruby, fufu-

Nami and her mother -which is kind of an OC- during the sixth chapter flashback of whirlwind.

really, really old doodle that's been stuck in my folder for months. shaded everything and added the background and extras just yesterday, though. now I kinda get why I didn't get a good score in the background assignment I had last year or two. -sob- will try to practice more background, that is. huff.

as for now, thanks for viewing this despite its rawness and everything, guys. see you in the next post. ;)

random doodle on 4 a.m. wow, it's been one week since my holiday started and I can't believe how unproductive I've been. -facepalm- well, at least I can still finish a pic, even though it's -again- raw... -sob silently; and what is background; sob even more-

also, this pic reminds me a lot of an idea I had back then of a story about Jack and Claire. might not even start writing it at a short time cause I'm trying to focus on whirlwind, though. it's been a year since I last updated anything, I'm so sorry... -slowly faint-

anyway, thanks for viewing this, guys. sorry for the rawness and everything and hope that this day can be a great day for all of us! ;D

doodles during language try-out.

[pics are finished on January 25, 2013; posted on February 12, 2013]
as the title suggests, some doodles I did two weeks ago on my second language try-out. hard to believe that I'm going to have my third try-out starting this morning. time sure flies fast... -shrug-

disclaimers: Harvest Moon: Back to Nature © 2000 by Victor Interactive Software, published by Natsume; Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town © 2003 by Marvelous Interactive, published by Natsume. the third pic, that is, to be more exact.

[update - February 23, 2013]

well, these doodles are based on the questions, actually. the first one is from a question that tells about a drought in a village. the second one is about the bamboo plant -wow, there's even a bad joke in it; facepalm-. the third one is an argument whether children have enough space of playroom, in which you can see that May and Stu obviously don't. :'D -hit with farming tools- the last one is about a girl who sort of abused -slapped- her tutor to give her all three vocal, instrument, and dancing lessons, if any of you may notice, the answer to the question which is to choose an appropriate saying related to the text is 'drinking water while diving'. garsh, it sounds so odd in English. -stomped-

anyway, I also did the same thing on the third try-out, but the questions haven't been handed out back to us students, so I don't think I can scan them just yet. not that I have the intention to, to be honest. I kinda feel lazy especially after feeling that my grades for language -for everything except biology, actually; the last try-out is so mean; no one asked- are flunking hard.

but, then again, maybe I just have to study hard for the fourth try-out. I hope it won't be soon, though. I don't feel like learning lately... -sob; kicked- haha. all and all, if you're currently having these sets of tests like me, then good luck, guys. or if you're just simply going through life, then good luck, too. just hope that you guys can handle everything as best as you can, simply. :)

last words, thanks for coming again. hope you are all having a nice week!

moondrop's song.

disclaimers: Harvest Moon: a Wonderful Life © 2004 by Victor Interactive Software and Marucome, published by Natsume; Harvest Moon: DS © 2006 by Marvelous Interactive, published by Natsume.

.
moondrop.

dear fair moondrop | I want you to know | that I admire you.
dear fair moondrop | I want you to know | that I dream of you.

please take me to | a dream that will | drift me away.

I want to fly | as if I were a kite | crossing each and every plains | kissing the sun and shining star...
I want to fly | crossing each and every plains | which any cliff can never end | until one day I can... | return back home!
.

the moondrop song. the song that Gustafa writes to Nami in the third chapter of the story. :)

and... what a translation. -facepalm- sorry cause I added some extra words like 'dear', 'shining', and some other minor stuff because it just kinda doesn't make sense if I translated it literally. -facepalm again-

-sob- I remember having real fun trying to get into Gustafa's head and imagining what kind of song he will write. :') I am forced to get at least a little romantic and that sure is hard. -look down- Gustafa, why do you need to be so romantic even though that's one of the things I like from you? -stomped-

haha. I wish I can write more GustafaxNami moments in the future. need to show more love for my otp, needn't I? ;') -giggle excitingly-

thanks for coming again, everyone. thanks for viewing this old and actually once abandoned work. -facepalm- hope you're well and that this day can be a nice day for all of you. I feel happy. maybe I should continue waking up before six cause it feels nice. :'D -but that last one is a bit unimportant and off topic, so sorry for that; once again, have a nice day, guys! ;)-

this has been laying unfinished for months. -look down- and the paper's a bit wrinkly cause I erase some parts too many times. -look down even more- but I'm really happy with the result. I'm happy cause I'm finally able to draw something whirlwind-related again, even though it's another Nami. :'D -I really need to draw some other characters, I know-

well... still have to work on proportion and background. more practice, it is. :)

at the meantime, thanks for the visit and the appreciation. wish happiness for all of you. gonna post more things sooner or later, so hope to see you on the next post, guys! ;D

starry night. :)

disclaimers: Harvest Moon: Back to Nature © 2000 by Victor Interactive Software, published by Natsume; Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town © 2003 by Marvelous Interactive, published by Natsume.

the first pic is originally finished on November 15 for a school assignment to make a Christmas card but I did slight -and by slight, I mean extremely slight- gradation and changed the 'Merry Christmas 2012!' to 'Happy Starry Night!' to fit the Harvest Moon theme just today. also realized so many mistakes in it, but then again, I think I'm happy with how it turns out. well, at least I tried to make it look as best as possible... :'D haha.

meanwhile, the letters are done just to fulfill my mischievous mind's thirst of exploring these two a little bit further. somehow, after reading a really beautiful fanfic about them, I can't wash off the idea that Jack will somewhat be more of a quiet and logical -if not skeptical- character and Claire a little more innocent. that's just how these letters came to be, I guess... -shrug-

well, anyway, happy Starry Night and happy holidays for all of you guys! hope you're surrounded with love and happiness tonight. thanks for coming here again. ;)

p.s.: working on this while listening to these songs right here. they sure bring a lot of memories. :')

the first scene -yeah, that short prologue, indeed- in whirlwind when Nami stared at the sky, right before the rain poured. thank you so much for this amazing tutorial that helped me a lot when I'm doing the background. I rarely practice any background, so... :'D

and... whirlwind... -sob; kicked-

haha. honestly I'm really happy with how this turns out. I mean, I know I still have a lot to improve, but I truly am happy with this pic here. I can't believe I finished something that could satisfy myself and I... well... thank you, guys, for checking this and... well... appreciating and... just thank you and sorry if this makes no sense I'm just happy. -stomped-

thank you again, guys! :')

gratin! ;D

[pic is finished and posted on September 23, 2012]
cause I've been longing too much that quoting something, even if it's kinda lengthy, from the story seems like a great temporary cure. -shrug- translating passages sure is interesting and hard at the same time...

and now that I look at it, garsh... this sure doesn't look like a gratin soup. :'D I mean, the bread on top of the onion soup sure is too poorly-drawn that it looks like a fried egg and, garsh... for real, the whole dish itself looks like an egg noodle! :'D -which is still tasty, but; well; laugh at myself; kicked-

well... sorry for all the mistakes in the drawing, guys -just search for 'gratin soup' in the internet and you'll see how faraway this is from how an actual gratin supposed to look like-. hope you all can wake up with a smile today and thanks for visiting this blog again. :)

hope today's breakfast will be satisfying, too. heh. somehow, I feel hungry just staring at this drawing of gratin I made -never had any before; wish to taste one someday; maybe I just have to spend some nights at Ruby's inn in order to get it; mind starts to throw all bits of logic away; laugh; slapped-

and forgot to put disclaimer here, sorry! -stomped-

"indeed, he is truly my dad,
he smiles at me."
.
...so, erm, one thing: when I said that this is finished, it's actually not. -face-palm- and I'm serious on this being not completely finished. I'm really sorry for that. -slapped-

well, to explain a bit, the yellow rope-like thing is supposed to be the string of a locket and the locket itself is planned to be drawn under the bottom of this pic, but then I got sort of depressed with how the background of the part where the locket is drawn turns out -I did some experiments and completely messed up soon after, short to say- and cut it until it becomes like this instead. -look down-

and yeah, that part -that I decided not to include- is also what makes this pic got delayed for so long; for six months, to be more exact. I'm really sorry... -face-palm- it would probably already be finished around March or April if I weren't so hard-headed to try to fix that unused background, so... yeah... again, sorry for the wait you have to go through. :'3 -melt-

in the end, I hope you like this pic -cause otherwise I'll feel so bad for not only being a procrastinator but also for giving out a horrible prize; melt again-. heh. thank you for your patience and kindness. -sob-

and almost forgot, extra disclaimer to shoka herself for the story behind this drawing -so you can say that this is a fanart for the fanfic she wrote-. it surely is a touching one in my opinion and I did have a great time reading it in the past. heh.

last words, thank you so much for viewing this, everyone -and again, I hope you like it, shoka; now I sound pushy, haha; ah, and congratulations too upon winning!; forgot that; stomped-. hope tonight will be a nice night for all of us. :)

erm... flowers, I think?

disclaimers: most of the Harvest Moon series belong to Marvelous Interactive and are published by Natsume.

[pic is finished and posted on August 24, 2012]
spent my evening to make these little fellows today; and broke my father's previously built tower, too, so hope he won't mind. :'D well, I still put it back together in the end, anyway, although it's clearly not the same and kinda unstable... -shrug-

as for the pic itself, from left to right: moondrop, pinkcat, magic blue, and magic red. all flowers in most of the Harvest Moon series, basically. :) well, those of you that know the fandom well will probably wonder why there's no toy flower here and I'm afraid my answer is simply cause I have no white blocks in my collection. the colors of the blocks are limited to the ones shown here, short to say.

and, erm... I don't know what makes me start doing this, but it sure was fun. :'D -thrown with blocks-

I guess that's all for now, guys. :) thanks for viewing this and... well... seems like I'm back to homework now, whether I want it or not... -shrug-

Sunday, August 19, 2012

sorry, but I just need to put this somewhere, so...

another old drawing that has finally -and when I say 'finally', I really mean finally- been done today, although sort of half-heartedly cause I get really desperate on the background and... well, this just seems like one of the place where I'm free to dump things, so... -kicked-

[pic is finished and posted on August 19, 2012]
disclaimers: Harvest Moon: a Wonderful Life © 2004 by Victor Interactive Software and Marucome, published by Natsume; Harvest Moon: DS © 2006 by Marvelous Interactive, published by Natsume.

well, this is done on a F4 paper -that I collected from random places one time my school was having a final examination; usually this kind of paper is used for subjects that need counting like math or physics and some are just thrown without even being used; that's why I'm taking them-, so I need to fold it in half and scan both sides separately for the paper is bigger than the scanner. and as you can see, I failed at combining the two different sides later on. -face-palm-

...and again, the background. -face-palm again-

erm... anyway, first started this on June 2011, so it has indeed been laid undone for more than a year now. and yeah, you guys can probably guess thats the main reason it's not touched for such a long time is the... yeah, background. poor drawing, you are... -sob; kicked-

well, at least all four of them get a lovely gift -I'd like to think it's from Jack cause he seems to be the one that'd give wrapped things like the ones in the pic the most, but feel free to imagine other guys :)-, right? erm... I don't know what occasion they're for, though. spring thanksgiving, maybe...? :'D -thrown with cookies; hey, that's actually quite nice; slapped-

and actually plan to draw them again cause they're just so charming and distinctive from each other, in my opinion, but hopefully with a bigger intention to work on the background next time. this one is just... well, how to say it... desperate and a bit lazy, I guess... ^_^;

also, erm, thanks for letting me share this, everyone. this pic has actually been haunting me for over a year now and putting it here just relieves me already, so... thank you, really. :'D -plowed-

and finally a colored piece to bring more variety to the blog, especially after a huge set of raw and black-and-white drawings posts. heh. -why do I sound so proud; even my own self don't seem to understand; ah, well; slowly walk away-
